Nice try, good concept, but somehow it just didn't thoroughly engage me. Still, it is clear & accessible and does belong in any decent library and any classroom (age 6-11) that has a bookshelf for poetry, biography, or history.

A girl who gets her favorite red ball taken by her dog and sees it in series of old pictures of a young girl as she grows up and tries to get it back but in the end she realizes it was the same ball her grandmother had as a child and that she passed down to her.

Nice book tells About the creation of poem---the events the poet wrote a out---and concludes with the poem, "Recuerdo."
