This may be of interest to students of WWII. There's no discernible writing style but there is a distinct presentation style, that of a chronological collection of gleanings from naval sources. As it is a self-published paperback the pictures included suffer from loss of definition and that's a pity. There are a lot of typos but they don't ruin the author's intent - that of putting Jim Macdonald's useful life into it's useful, historical place - they just show that self-publishing does not get the assistance of professional proof reading or editing.
