Dead Ground (Harbinger P.I., #4) par Adam J. Wright
Though I do enjoy these books, the plots are bit on the thin side and this particular story needs some minor grammar editing. Still a pleasant way to spend some reading time though.
An OK read, but the characters and plots could use a bit more depth. And maybe steering away from romance would be a beneficial thing too, because, honestly? Mr. Wright cannot, and probably should not, be writing romance. Stick to UF and steer clear of the PNR.
While I am enjoying these books, a couple of easily fixed mistakes which could've been caught during the editing process helped to bring this particular story down several notches.
The biggie is when Alec and Leon are discussing Felicity, who was in England. Alec mentions the time difference between Maine (US East coast) and England, saying England is five hours behind Maine ... Uh, no it's not. Five hours behind Maine puts you somewhere off the West coast of North America and out on the Pacific. England is five hours ahead of Maine...
Also, splitting Alex and Felicity up really slows the plot. It's not that I'm looking for romance, I'd be thrilled if their friendship stayed platonic, but they are a team and this book shows how much of a team they've become.
