Defiance:The Essential Guide is a moderately informative guide about the latest MMORPG and SyFy's TV series and Defiance which introduce the reader to the characters and the world of Defiance. As its been several weeks since the premiere of the TV series, I'm still getting used to the characters, the world building so the guide does help in a way. Other than what you can get from the SyFy sites like the character guides, the content have a lot of luscious landscape graphics and some interesting concept art from the series. Other than that, the show is still too new so this copy isn't much of a spoiler.
