This book doesn't work for me. I think the problem is the author wanted the hero, Alex to be an Alpha male type but he's controlling and cruel and crosses the line way too many times.
In other books by other authors who have written successful Alpha men, the men are controlling and bossy and they do make decisions for 'their woman' and they are even mad at them at times but it never physically harms them or sometimes its something that's to protect them.
If you can get past the rape, mental insanity treatment, then the other big no is after really being together, spending real time as a family, another woman kisses him and he kisses her back, nothing else happens but the heroine witnesses it, he gets angry when she calls him out on it. A true man would not have gone there, not at this point in their relationship.
He does eventually redeem himself after a pity party and 3 months of punishing his 4 year old daughter by cutting himself out of his life completely, because he's not worthy and made so many mistakes.
It is hard to understand why she took him back and wanted anything to do with him.

stunning

Mikki, Blake and pea's story is so gripping I loved how it was backwards and we have to keep reading to learn the back story. I have read a few of Jettie Woodruff's books now and each one has a different flavour to them but all very unique, looking forward to reading book 2 but give this a try you won't be disappointed.

interesting

I enjoyed This to shall pass but got to say I preferred the happy vibe of book 1. I wanted to bang Cory and Lex's heads together Lex was like a raging nutter and I also wanted to really strangle Cory at times and what's up with his awful family, Man, all that aside this was well written and I had to keep reading just to find out if there was going to be a happy ever after.

Wow so different

Oh my god I am so in love with this author, every book has a different flavour to it and are all very unique. Now I have to admit I wasn't sure about this one with the subject of polygamy but bravo Jettie woodruff you have done it again I was transfixed absolutely adored Picked it was so different from anything I have read I actually loved Cassie being a people pleaser myself I really got her and Becker what's not to love I was rooting for them both all the way. give this a go you won't be disappointed.… (plus d'informations)
