Poor pangolin - it is hard to be different, especially with that cool surfing penguin hanging around. But luckily the pangolin finds someone who appreciates him for exactly who he is.

Silly, silly picture book about self-discovery and duck identity crises. Very good.

A pangolin is about to give a presentation on pangolins, but the other animals seem incapable of understanding ("So, is he a frog or an anteater? I'm confused"). After displaying saintlike patience for some time - and sharing many pangolin facts - the pangolin finally loses his cool when a penguin shows up ("Penguins are my favorite!"). The final audience member remaining is a little girl*, who is eager to learn all the pangolin facts, which are all displayed on cards on the final double-page spread.

*"So, what kind of animal are you?"
"I'm just a kid."
"Huh. Like a goat?"

Hilarious and informative - would be great for storytime.
