Author F. Paul Wilson was born in Jersey City, New Jersey on May 17, 1946. He has written over forty books and short story collections. He is best known for the Repairman Jack series and the Sims series. He won the Prometheus Award in 1979 for Wheels Within Wheels and in 2004 for Sims. He also won afficher plus a 1984 Progie Award from the West Coast Review of Books for The Tomb, the Hall of Fame Award from the Libertarian Futurist Society in 1990 for Healer and in 1991 for An Enemy of the State, and the 1999 Bram Stoker Award for short fiction for Aftershock. La forteresse noire par Paul Wilson

F. Paul Wilson est né en 1946 et a commencé à écrire de la SF dès les années 1970 dans le célèbre magazine Analog. Mais c'est La Forteresse noire, adapté au cinéma par Michael Mann en 1983, qui va le révéler au grand public. Grand amateur de romans fantastiques et de pulps, il écrit La Tombe en 1984, où un personnage qui va devenir mythique, Repairman Jack, fait sa première apparition. Il est également l'auteur d'étonnants thrillers médicaux comme Mort clinique ou fantastiques comme Les Liens du sang et Mirage (en collaboration avec Mathew J. Costello).
