I used the bkmark in my copy to mark the pp where entry 116 is: the only excerpt that has much visual identity outside the usual left-justified lines in English, the only visual poem - in this case using flag signaling. Amy Catanzano gave me this & her entry jumped out at me:
"My translator microbe is a singular terrain."
Entry 25 reads:
"I am not afraid of Virginia Woolf.
I fear Lidija Dimkovska. Have you heard of her?"
Well.. I 'thought': "I bet that's the name of the person who wrote that." &, upon looking at the index/key at the back, I found that I was correct. This made me laugh (not necessarily LOL - more mentally) as I appreciated it as a way of Dimkovska's calling attn to herself AND associating herself w/ both Albee (the author of "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?") & Woolf. An elegant bit of humorous self-promo.
The title of this bk alone give the reader a clue that its editors/compilers have an evocative sense of sociable humor. Good onya Lad(ie)s!… (plus d'informations)
