No one sane will give this book more than one star, and even that's a lot.

The story is about a young woman - Betty, her brother Boyd, and his coach (I can't even remember his name). Boyd is one amazing talent, so he is accepted into the school's runner team. The hero is his coach, who is also a big fan of his parents (who were athletes). Blah, blah.

Now, where should I start? With the dumb and banal beginning? Or the whole writing, who was unreadable? Like more than half of the book was a dialogue, and it was a badly written one. Or with the ridiculous end?

The heroine - While reading this, I thought this girl only had one brain cell, cause she was damn stupid. Her 14-year-old brother was smarter than her.

The hero - Mr-I-am-an-athlete-but-I-can't-run-more-than-a-few-metres. This, this was the dumbest shit ever. He was supposed to have a six-pack, which the heroine touched in the first chapter.

You know what's the worst When they finally fucked, and he acted like he married her, talking how she is his, etc. Calm down, cowboy, It's just a dick.

I have nothing against insta-loves, but this one is not even that.

And for this author to be claimed as an author of hot steamy stories, it's an absolute joke. Because the only wet thing I had, was my tears from laughter.

I am sure I lost a few brain cells reading this. And this is a perfect example of why this genre is so hated.

I absolutely love a good metaphor and the one the title inspired is A and I think works well at getting both MCs on the same page. I detest Deb’s sister, you shouldn’t be so negative about a sibling’s partner especially 3 kids in, it breeds toxicity and is so unhealthy. I can understand Deb’s uncertainty about Mike’s cousin, especially with how everything went down with their grandma. I do wish they had discussed their specific issues more, as I feel like just apologizing without identifying areas for improvement is a temporary solution. A great marriage on the rocks romance to remind you love takes work but it’s always worth it.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
