Jean Francis Webb

The story is pretty dated, kind of like re-watching old detective shows from the 70's, with little lady type monikers and such. The gimmick, however, is what I remembered about this series of books of mysteries featuring young women in various careers as amateur detectives. The last chapter of the book is sealed, so it had to be cut open to reveal the killer and how they got to that place.
