I am not sure what happened to my previous reviews but I had read this earlier this year and then just did a recent reread as the box set. If I had to guess this was during the time that Goodreads wasn't tracking things problem due to a known glitch, or when my iPad was saying it was submitting reviews to Goodreads or Amazon but in reality, it wasn't. Who knows. Thank goodness I did a reread or my challenge would be missing these fantastic books.
This was a great series and this conclusion was the best. It tied up the tension, suspense, and unanswered questions that had been lingering through the series. This book opens up in a very violent scene, then fast forwards a little bit. You get to meet Chloe, who is determined to be in control of her life. She gets propositioned by a new client, Derek, at the strip club where she works. Sparks fly and she lets her guard down, and is rewarded with the shock of her new life.
I was new to Kylie Walker’s writing when I picked up this book. Let’s just say I won’t need any convincing to check out more of her work.
This book starts out in a dire situation, the death of a loved one. From this, no good can ever come, if you are looking for revenge. That is exactly the position we are in, with our leading lady. She wants revenge, she wants the truth and most of all she wants to show the world just how messed up the people behind her brother’s death are.
Of course, nothing ever goes to plan, especially not when you are fighting desperately for just that. Our main meets her opposite, and in him she finds something she can’t resist, no matter how hard she tries. Even with all her headstrong, spunky sass, she can’t help returning. He can’t stop thinking about the only person he shouldn’t be.
The whole read is full of angst, desperation and steamy moments. It is written very well, with a fast pace to really give you a feel for the action and steam that is happening between the covers. I found it really hard to put this book down. Though it was easy to know where the storyline might lead next, it was the way it was told, with such visor and detail that made this book so unputdownable.
If you are looking for a read that will give you the feeling you might be up to something naughty, both in the bedroom and as you follow a search for vengeance, then this is your read.

I had read this awhile ago as separate books. I enjoyed it then and enjoyed it even better with it all in one place without having to pause. The beginning is choppy but by 25% in the book takes off and gets intense.
