In addition to what foothillfibers said, you might also want to know that there is no needle-felting. A number of wet-felted techniques are demonstrated.

Needle felting is the focus of this little “how-to” book. The author covers types of needles to use and their purposes, safety tips for working with the felting needles, and other equipment helpful in the process.

The book starts out with the basics of making a flat piece of felt on a foam work surface, along with some projects. Then it jumps into sculptural pieces, figures and animals, etc. A lot of space is devoted to making a face and the various components that go into that along with making a mask. There is a chapter on using needle-felting in other ways, such as decorations on clothing and accessories. Anne also gives tips about using water as an adjunct to the needle felting processes. Another valuable aspect of the book is a list of sources for supplies and other books and videos that cover the needle felting process.… (plus d'informations)

There are numerous projects for beginners and advanced felters. All of the projects in this book begin with carded wool and are not knitted prior to the felting process. There are lots of small items to make with and for kids, a nice selection of seamless wearables such as slippers, mittens and hats and fun stuff like felted buttons and sculptures.
