These stories were all fantastic and I will definitely be reading more by all these authors.

This is a gritty barbarian/monsters novella, with a lot of bad stuff going on in the world. The romance is a bit rushed, which almost goes without saying with this being a novella that is focused on more than the romance. The heroine is great, but she lets the hero get away with too much at times. The hero tried to keep his distance by doing some truly stupid stuff, but he does eventually see the error of his ways. I'm excited to read the next book in the series.

I really like this novella. I love Anja and Kael. The romance was great and felt believable. The world is well thought out and interesting. The plot is good and way more than I expected from such a short book.

I was really hoping for more from this book! It's what I would normally gravitate toward. I think it was too long, although the world-building was well done. I know that's a contradiction - "it's too many words, but all the words did paint a detailed portrait of this world . . . "

Anyway - I borrowed the second book from the library, hope it's better with the words and whatnot.
