Very readable and well illustrated. This double volume history of Canada is a gentle way to be introduced to the way the country developed and can lead those interested into deeper avenues of reading and research as they feel led.
As a "people's history" it offers glimpses into the lives of various individuals, both well known or otherwise, as a particular event in the country affected them, or how they had an effect.
