In a context of presenting Himself as the Messiah by miracles and words, Christ sends His disciples to preach the kingdom and make His presence known.

Though the world will face tribulation and the Antichrist, the Lord promises He will come to reign. Wise are those who live each day in anticipation of Christ's return.
A few days before his crucifixion, Christ answers in Matthew 24 and 25 the disciples' questions about the time of Jerusalem's destruction and the Lord's return.
