Mixed feelings about this book. The writing was very, very annoying. Everytime something suspenseful happened (a scream, seeing something scary, etc), it immediately cut to later on, and the reader learned about what happened after the cliff-hanger in past-tense and/or talking. Very annoying. Also, maybe I'm just too used to Nancy Drew books, with an experienced detective, but it really bugged me that the kids kept "forgetting" and "losing" the diary. I mean come on, here is this huge mystery and they actually find the diary that is part of the mystery, and then they keep leaving it places where it can get stolen!

I kinda figured that Lynn would end up owning Falcon, it was pretty obvious from the way things were written regarding the horse. However, I really liked the ending, and it kinda made up for the other annoyances. Well, almost.… (plus d'informations)
