There was an Old Lady who Swallowed a Fly is a wonderful new title from Kate Toms. Kate’s signature hand-stitched illustrations and her witty, charming rhymes have proven popular among babies and young children, and this book is no different! Follow the old lady through the story as she tries to deal with an increasingly large problem! Children will love following along the clear shaped text and even adults will enjoy the hilarious tale that has been cleverly adapted in Kate’s style.

Along with the rhyming this book incorporates, it also serves as a wonderful introductory book for young readers. The vocabulary within the book is simple, but also blends with the plot to prevail the Itsy Bitsy Spider's trials. I loved reading this book simply because it's always had a special place in my heart; it's been one of my favorite 'traditional' books to date because of the inspiring message that one can gather from it. There are many learning schemes that are within this book, and that's exactly why I will be introducing this and encouraging my future students to read this wonderful book.… (plus d'informations)

This is a great book to engage the students in something they can relate to. Full of rhyming and poetry this book is about a spider who struggles to go up thes pout but never gives up. THis is also a great book to teach children about not giving up and if you fall down just hop right back up.
