Part pirate adventure, part dystopian tale, and part story of a girl burdened by grief, while trying, and often failing to protect those she loves. Jin and her younger sister are struggling to keep a decrepit inn running in what was once arid Arizona, It's a losing battle, made more dire by the threat of Jin being conscripted should she fail to pay taxes. She's emotionally scarred by the memory of her last deep dive, the day her father died when deep dive scavenging for treasure in a water-covered city, and she was unable to save him.
When a mysterious woman, Bhili, takes up residence at their inn and pays with big gold coins, it's the start of an adventure, one that tests the sisters' bond, as well as Jin's already strained relationship with Taim who has enlisted in the coast guard. Factor in an immense hoard of gold, vicious pirates, truly frightening sea creatures, and some really tense moments underwater, and you have one fine adventure tale...With more to come it would seem.… (plus d'informations)
