Courte biographie
J.K. Swift lives in a log house well off the beaten path in central B.C., Canada. He has worked as a school teacher, jail house guard, Japanese translator, log peeler, accountant, martial arts instructor, massage therapist, technical editor, and has called a few Bingo games. He gets his story ideas while traveling in Europe, feeding his chickens, and cutting wood. [from Morgarten (2013)]

The story is based on the Hapsburgs of the Holy Roman Empire (c1300) and their attempted conquest of the area eventually called Switzerland. Both pagan and Christian characters are involved and the exploits of overlords leads to rebellion. Well written.
