I read this in high school, and have re-read it several times since. I have no idea if it's still in print, not that it was worth it. Typical romance, ridiculously named male lead (Kirk Stryker) who's is repulsive yet attractive to the young impetuous herorine. Set in several states including New Orleans during slavery it's full of adventure and fairly graphic sex. Not graphic enough to classify it as erotica, but hot none the less.
Now I haven't read this in years, so I can't vouch for some of the slavery references, so approach with caution.
But I think this is a light fun read, especially if your work day sucked.

OK the above was my review before the re-read...

This is my ammendment to said review. Be very cautious of the slavery references. The author means well, but mediocre writing skills can make it very difficult for one to deal with a sensitive matter correctly. And unfortunately this is the case here. The sex is disturbing, and the heroine is ridiculously hyper-sexualised.

I'm thinking you may want to pass on this one.
