Back in the late 1950s, Ed Sullivan sent a shout-out to some of his friends to send him their favorite Christmas memories. Some responded with letters, some sent their favorite of the Christmas stories. This is a fun collection of memories from famous people long gone (some still around, but not a lot!). It was a great Christmas read!
A lovely collection of Christmas stories and Christmas memories from a diverse group of famous people of the 1950s. Ed Sullivan, entertainment impresario, contacted friends from many areas of American life - authors, actors, directors, early TV stars, religious leaders, athletes - and asked them for a Christmas contribution.
The names are quite luminary. A few examples: Pearl Buck, Perry Como, Francis Cardinal Spellman, James Cagney, Ring Lardner, Ben Hogan, Dinah Shore, Eddie Cantor, Jack Benny, Jackie Robinson, Edith Piaf, Walter Cronkite... 56 pieces in all. A treasure.… (plus d'informations)

It's a pretty crappy video, but the sketches are all nice (although the best of them have been recycled on The Muppet Show or Sesame Street). Jim and Frank, doing what they do, back when they had a lot to prove - can't go too far wrong with that.
