I absolutely enjoyed this book. Shaun and Sarah are the best. Love the way they handle things. They get in and get out.

This book started off strong. It seemed to have a great plot, characters you could relate to, especially if you had siblings. After about half of the book, it lost me, though. After that, it seemed to just go around in circles. For me, I need some questions answered to continue on in a story. This one just didn’t. It kept piling question upon question, with no answers for any of them. Towards about the 3/4 mark, I just gave up trying to figure anything out. It was a decent story, like I said, even though it is a series, it would have been nice if anything got answered. Instead, after finishing the book, I feel like I know no more now than I did when I started the book. It isn’t a bad book, it was well written and has a solid story, just the writer’s style doesn’t mesh with what I look for in a book.… (plus d'informations)

What a fascinating read! At first, I wasn't sure if I would be able to get into this book. There was something about Shawn's perspective that I couldn't get into. It took me around 2-3 chapters to actually get engrossed in the book, but once I did, I DEVOURED this!

I loved Sarah right away. She is the bad-ass demon slayer that lives somewhere hidden deep inside me, that I long to be. She's beautiful, powerful, and doesn't take crap from anyone.

Shawn's character though, took me a while to get into. He's too standoffish, but as the story progressed I came to enjoy that. I loved the brief moments he had with his Bound Partner, Melissa. His thinking was just adorable. Also, really love the relationship between Shawn and Sarah's 2 BFF/Lover dudes.

The one thing that kept throwing me off was the location. I really wish that the author would have went into detail about that in the beginning. You can tell it takes place in some Urban Fantasy setting, somewhere in Great Britain/the United Kingdom, possible Scotland, but you don't get those vibes. The way they speak sounds almost American, but then there are some Euro slang thrown in. hat threw me off, but I find it intriguing that it does take place somewhere over there.

Definitely loved the twin vibes. The way the Gallows Twins got along was lovely, and I can not wait to see where that goes in further volumes. I do wish there was more back story, or prologue that explains how Shawn got his scars. That seems like it would be a fascinating read, but I think Sharon will get into that more in other parts of the series.

I loovee how Sarah's a sex pistol, but it was kind of off putting how she kept jumping between the Bully, and her 2 BFF/Lover Dudes. She had excellent vibes with all of them, and every time she got near one of them, you wanted her to be with that one, then she jumped to another and it was like...dammmmmnn...can't decide how I want this to end. LOL! The twist at the end definitely got my attention, the next book in the series is really going to be interesting.

Overall, this was a cool book. It seems much dirtier or grittier than most books in this field, and that I welcomed. I loved how the characters interacted with each other, all of the Supernatural beings, how the Bully kept being torn from Vampire to Human, like it was a disease or he was just possessed, how they had to keep taking trains even though they are bad-ass demon trackers. Definitely a good read.

Recommend this to anyone that loves PNR, Urban Fantasy, Supernatural, and Demon Hunter/Slayer/Tracker Goodness.
