Remember Fate (Healing Hearts Book 4) by Ginny Sterling is an emotional and compelling Contemporary Military Romance set in Afghanistan. While, book 4 in the "Healing Hearts" series, it can be read as a stand alone. This is my first time reading this author and I was totally engrossed in this story.
Well written with engaging and believable characters. The storyline flows seamlessly and effortlessly with danger, drama, an unfaithful girlfriend, emotionally charged, with flawed characters, childhood friendships, loyalty, danger and second chances.
Follow, Jameson Post, whose in the US Army and Lucy Reyes, who works with a news agency, on their journey of love, friendship, caring, second chances and finding a HEA.
Well balanced story with depth and the characters are well developed, will they finally find their true love.
I found Afghanistan a unique place for a setting. The author gives the reader a glimpse into military lifestyle, war zone, culture of the Afghanistan people, and sends the reader on a rollercoaster ride of danger and romance. Well worth the time to read.

This is the second book in a series. Because events are happening simultaneously to the first book, there is quite a bit of repetition with just a little bit of new info added during the first section of the book.
I liked these characters and thought they had an interesting story to tell, but this story does not dig as deep as I wanted it to. I found the romance believable and enjoyed it for what it was. I will continue with this easy reading sweet romance series.

Lawfully Gifted was a short sweet romance between a soldier in Afghanistan and a teacher in Texas. Lily writes to a soldier along with the rest of her students and is paired with John. They hit it off through their letters and romance follows.

I enjoyed this book, but wished there had been just a little more to it. I would have liked to have seen just a little bit more into their lives and individual stories. Otherwise it was a nice romance.

This was my first book from Ginny Sterling. I have a few other books by her on my tbr, but chose to start with this one. Little did I know that I should have read Lawfully Gifted first because it is kind of a prequel to this series. It is given a blurb at the end of the book that reveals that it is Griffin's story who we see getting married in this book. I still enjoyed the book, but I think I would have liked it even better had I read Lawfully Gifted before hand.

Now, on to the book itself. I enjoyed this sweet romance. I have a soft spot for military romances and this one was nice. The main characters are injured soldier Ethan and his counselor Daisy who is broken in her own ways. They meet in a professional capacity which quickly moves on to a romantic one. I have to say that I had to remind myself that this is fiction and some rules may be overlooked for the sake of the story. More than once the characters mention that they needed to cease their professional attachment in order to pursue each other romantically however, they don't do this right away. I was bothered by that. Beyond this, I was drawn into their story. I liked that they both had issues to work through and that they overcame a lot to get to the point where they were ready for a relationship at the right time for it to be each other. In the end, the only other thing I wished for was more. I wished it could have been longer and maybe a little more detailed. Oh, and more of the dog. :) I'm going to try Lawfully Gifted next.… (plus d'informations)
