I like how the author explains what case-based learning is and provides a great step-by-step framework to create your own case. While he mentions using this at all levels of education, I would’ve loved to see more on how this could be achieved in both lower and upper elementary grades. This would be a good book for middle and high school teachers.

A real-life mystery about Agatha Christy. Oh, her cheating husband picked the wrong woman to betray. I enjoyed this story and highly recommend it to fans of Agatha.

I appreciate the authors approach and have adopted some of his ideas to my homeschool philosophy.

As an educator, Todd Stanley’s When Smart Kids Underachieve in School has been an excellent toolkit for examining alternate causes of declining grades, lack of motivation, and/or emotional dysfunction among students. The book is a great supplement to educator training/professional development; training often paints all students as experiencing the same circumstances, but When Smart Kids… helps understand students as individuals for whom school is only one challenge to be faced.
