Point 2: His history of Christianity needs a lot of correction.
Lent is not a four week period.
OK, so theologically the author is useless. But what about the recipes? He seems to have found a bunch of recipes and thrown them together, but they are not really very interesting, and he neglects to say much about their history. This one is Jewish, and might have something to do with such a festival. That one is Muslim and might be eaten for one of their festivals. Believe it or not, Christian don't really have many special foods connected to their festivals.
