This story started out with a tragic heartbreak of Becca as Jonathan, her fiance unexpectedly dies as their wedding is just about to happen. The honeymoon has been planned by Jonathan and although heartbroken, Becca decides that Jonathan would want her to see Pinecraft Florida. There she meets his best friend, Zane. It is a surprise to both of them as to how they soon become good friends and perhaps more. But this surely won't sit well with many people. It is an emotional story, one of faith, forgiveness and love. I love how characters from previous books appear and become a part of this book and add to the wonderful cast of characters. This author has added wonderful Christian thoughts and scripture which makes them all the better.I received an arc.All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This wonderful novella was an action packed story. Not a dull moment. I had a hard time putting it down. It's the story of Clive, a young Amish man who causes an accident with his buggy and a young expectant woman in an automobile. And so the story begins. It is a fast paced story with lots of Christian values expressed. It was a sweet story with teaching moments as Clive takes care of the woman who was injured and is expecting a child. Against the rules of his Amish community, he cares for this woman and they become close. I loved seeing familiar characters in the story who are also caring but concerned about breaking the rules as they all work through things with God's love and guidance.
The book is good and I am sure others will also enjoy it as well. I highly recommend it. I was given an arc. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Another wonderful story by this author. I am so lucky to be able to read these stories which always have an important Christian message. Brighton is English and Bethany is an Amish young woman. As they meet and get to know one another a bond grows between them, yet they both understand the realization of the problems this relationship will bring to Bethany especially. As Brighton heads to college, problems at home return him to his home to help family. As Bethany learns to understand the Bible teachings, and Jesus' atoning love for us, she grows spiritually. But she knows what she is doing and learning about will not be accepted well by her parents.
It's a touching and sweet story that I totally enjoyed reading. I am sure you will as well. I received a complimentary copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This was a truly sweet romance. It was a beautiful story of love and forgiveness and is a wonderful book for a happy start to the Christmas Season. The characters are so likeable and pleasant to read about and even though there may be some conflicts, it is good to see God's plan coming to fruition for them. I found this a light read that will bring a smile and that "feel-good" feeling that I love after reading a good book.

Thank you so much Jennifer Spredemann for choosing me to be one of those able to read the ARC of this novella. I had never read The Scarlett Letter but even though I know it wasn't necessary to read this book it is one I think I have to read. This was a different direction for Jennifer as it was told in first person. I loved the power that this little book punched. So much in such a short story shows how excellent the writing was. I had figured out things before the end but it was lovely read and realize I was right. Big happy smile on my face. The characters was so wonderful that I hope this won't be the last time that we come across them. This strong story is one not to be missed by Jennifer Spredemann fans. If you have not read this author before, this would be a good one to read. I am excited to see what Jennifer has in store for us next.

This was an Amish retelling of The Scarlet Letter. It was a book that will really make you think! It is a book that will show that we all have our shortcomings and none have attained perfection. We all are learning, experiencing, and growing in Christ. I honestly don't know what to say without giving away the story. And the story will definitely bring unexpected events. It is a teaching story of love, forgiveness and repentance. It is well worth reading.

Another great book by this author! I enjoy how the books are "real" with real life problems and issues. I loved the characters. The book introduces Sammy's father and gives you some insight into the sage wisdom that Sammy comes up with in other stories that I have read. It's a book well worth reading. I highly recommend it.
You can preorder this book now. It will be released, June 1, 2023.
I received a complimentary copy of this book and was not required to give a positive review. All thoughts are my own.

This book was very touching. Mistakes, amends, forgiveness of others and oneself and definitely love. All the feels. I think that probably many have experienced the many feelings and events that occurred in this book. I know that it is a real and very emotional type of book that many will be able to relate to and understand. I really enjoyed reading about the real feelings of the various individuals as they dealt with the situation that they were in. This book was very engaging and l found myself not wanting to put it down until I had discovered how things turned out. The author has a great talent in writing and understanding real life issues. I received a complimentary copy of this book. All thoughts are my own.

Samuel was not your obedient Amish young man. No, he had lost his way. Roberta, sister of his best friend, has always had feelings for Samuel but he has found an Englisch girlfriend, whose beliefs are certainly not similar to the Amish. Roberta continues to pray for Samuel and hopes that one day he will return to his family.

This book was full of realistic events that can cause definite rifts between both friends and family. The book is of novella length, but has a wonderful story to tell which takes hold of you from page one. There are no boring moments. I loved the tender mercies that this book contained. I am sure you will enjoy this book very much.

I received a complimentary copy of this book. All thoughts are my own.

This prequel really leaves you wanting to read the rest of the books. It is very moving and I read it quickly to see what happens. Silas and Josiah are excited to head to the beach for their Rumspringa. Josiah meets Kayla and the story begins. It is a teaching story of faith, forgiveness and love. There are Christian teachings in this book as in the others, as well. There is always something new to learn and mentors in the books to help the characters to learn and grow. I am sure you will enjoy this!

A heart warming Accidental Amish Story

Imagine waking up in a huge, anonymous hospital in New York City and having no memory of who you are or where you came from. From this point to the fulfilling end, You'll follow the story of two very separate families whose lives come crashing together in a most peculiar way. Filled with love, faith, mouth-watering descriptions of dinners, J. E. B. Spredeman delivers big time with Amish by Accident.

The Best Christmas Gift of All

I love Jennifer Spreadman's books. She writes from her heart. Whether she's spinning a tale about an Amish family or a Mennonite family, she researches and presents so authentically how the community works.

A Secret Christmas has a little bit of everything that makes a great Christmas story. Long lost loves being reunited, a discouraged heart finding the true meaning of life and lots of hugs and kisses.

This book shouldn't be taken lightly, it may be a simple story but it holds a great truth. Treat yourself or give it to someone who is struggling to find peace in their lives. I highly recommend it!

Shiloh is so in love with Mikey, and there is nothing that stands in her way. But Mikey may not be her father's choice in for her. And although that is a heavy consideration for her, she wants to follow her heart. The story has some captivating twists that kept me reading and reading because I had to find out how things turned out.
The story tells of life's realities and that yes, even Amish people aren't always perfect and need to repent. I know how these family events can cause stress and longing as I personally recently found my 1/2 cousins in a similar life event. So yes, life doesn't always turn out as planned and surprises come when we least expect them. This can bring a series of emotions, both good and not so good.

I love the role Sammy played and his kindly ways and why he is as he is. Yes, life is full of learning events. The most important part of that is repenting, learning and growing from the lessons learned and of course, being responsible for those things that we need to make amends for.

This book taught important lessons and was good "food for thought" for all of us.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. All thoughts are my own.

This anthology has 4 stories about Amish families. Each story is a short piece from 4 different full books all about different Amish girls with surprising stories about faith and forgiveness.

Each story, although short, is enough to whet the appetite and leave you wanting to know how each woman’s story ends. I found all of these stories by Spredemann a little different than the typical Amish stories by other authors. There are more shocking revelations that keep the reader interested. My favorite was the final story, Cindy’s Story, which is an Amish retelling of Cinderella. I have read many fairy tale retellings and never thought of mashing it with Amish life.

The stories do end right at a point where you want to know more about what happens to the families. They feel like cliffhangers and they end well enough but the reader will want more.

I would absolutely read more by J.E.B. Spredemann. I enjoyed each story and am very interested in more Amish fairy tale retelling.

Sarah's life suddenly has a major turn-around and she finds herself in a completely unexpected situation causing her to have to turn to God to find the answer to her extremely difficult dilemma. Sarah finds out she is living a double life due to her amnesia.
Each decision impacts those she loves. As a result she finds God and finds a way to continue her life.

I enjoyed this book and really wondered what was she going to do with this very difficult situation. I read it in one sitting. Really liked how it kept me on the edge on my seat.

You'll love it!

I love Amish stories and this story by Jennifer Beckstrand did not disappoint. I love the mischievous Amish twins, Alfie and Benji, who are always good at those necessary matchmaker needs. If love doesn't go as it should, you can be sure twins are on it! True to form, a fun and sweet Amish romance as told by Jennifer Beckstrand.
This story was one of ten delightful Christmas Miracle stories and so fun. A second chance for Jerry and Mary. Will the twins succeed in their sneaky plans or get themselves in trouble, as usual!

Truly a sweet and tender story mixed with some humor. Although I am reading it after the holidays, it is every bit as good as before. I recommend these sweet stories and hope you take the time to read them!

I received an ebook copy from one of the authors with no expectation of a positive review. All thoughts are my own.

This was book 9 of the Amish Country Brides series by Jennifer Spredemann. It was an engaging and fun read. Poor Amy Troyer, whose fiance left to join the Englisch, with or without her. After he returns to their Amish district after a 2 year departure, Amy discovers that he is engaged. She talks to Nathaniel about having a pretend courtship with her in the hopes that it will make former fiance, Toby jealous. Perhaps even to get them back together.
What happens between them is heartwarming and then Toby returns and decides he wants to have her back. Now Amy has to decide what is best for her future. The book has an interesting twist that will catch you by surprise!

This book was a great addition to the series and as with each of the earlier books, a great read that you will totally enjoy! The author is very talented and brings good Christian values to each of her books. And of course, Sammy was there to add some helpful advice to those who need it.

I received a copy of this book from the author with no requirement to give a positive review. All thoughts are my own.

I was so excited to read Jennifer Spredemann's latest book in the Amish Country Brides Series. It was another enjoyable Amish book and the beautiful cover speaks for itself. Susan is anxious to experience the English life. She tries to prepare for her life outside her Amish community. She meets Joshua and there is an instant attraction. This is their story and their journey to work out the issues that both need to work through.
I love how Sammy is still there to offer wisdom and advice to all seekers of God's truth. If you enjoy Christian fiction, you will definitely enjoy this book.

As Titus and Emily meet, they quickly made a connection. Titus, a widower with children, is very attracted to Emily. But deep within his heart is a fear that may cause a rift in their blossoming relationship and keep him from moving on with his life. A heartwarming romance, this book is sure to keep you reading. It's a charming, enjoyable and Christian read that holds your attention to the end.
This sweet romance is another book from a growing series of sweet and lovely romances. The author has a way of bringing in Christian values that are not only important only to the Amish of whom she writes, but to all Christians alike and helps all to realize that our faith can help us overcome all fears.

This is book 7 of this young adult series. I read them out of order but I still enjoyed the story, the characters and the lessons learned. It was a story of Brooke, an "Englischer" girl who searches for Christian values in her life. The story depicts her wondering about Christ's teachings versus perhaps "science" and it's differing opinions, she finds her way through Seth who she quickly develops a relationship with.
It's a good story about the search for light. I enjoyed it very much!

This was a book geared for young adults, and although I am not one, I still enjoyed reading the story of Leah and Ben. They were teens Leah is trying to determine whether she should remain Amish or find a way in the Englisch world. This was the final book in the series. Personally, I think she should write some more!
This book dealt with real life situations, such as alcoholism and teens that were making very bad choices and how those choices affected others. All her books bring in Christian values which is something that I enjoy in reading books.

What can I say about this book that will really give it the accolades it deserves?
I’ll try.

This story begins like a little snowball, and gains momentum, getting more powerful
and bigger with each chapter. It has a moving and deeply spiritual message of hope and
forgiveness, extended to anyone identifying with the main subject of the novel.

Hannah Glick, a young Amish woman, is engaged to Christian a young Amish man in her community. Through a happenstance “chance”, she finds out something about him
that totally changes her course in life. The book Mrs. Spredemann has written deals
compassionately yet truthfully about her alternate pathway, and those whom she is
involved with along the way. I don’t want to give much away, I’m hoping everyone who reads
this review will read An Unforgiveable Secret. It really has so much valuable information, along with
tidings of hope and directives for how a couple can go about repairing the damage this unforgiveable secret that can and does, unleash catastrophe in the involved person’s life. JEB Spredemann weaves a series of events that COULD happen, and it gives you such a joyful blessing. She’s a Godly author, and I love that.

Again, I encourage everyone reading the review to read this book for yourself. You’ll be amazed, uplifted, and oh so much better equipped to help yourself, or someone else.

Thanks be to God, for giving his faithful servants such awesome talents. If we would all use them for HIS glory and to bring honor to Him, what a better world this would be!

Set in the Amish community, this features a rather naive girl called Hannah who does something unexpectedly, which affects her for many years. We don't discover what exactly happens until much later in the book, and while there are hints, the full extent is shocking to the reader when revealed, as well as to her loved ones.

I thought it quite a good story overall, covering an important ethical issue sympathetically, albeit (inevitably) only showing one side. But some of the conversation is over-stilted, and I found there were too many Amish words in italics, making it often quite awkward to read.

Hannah always had a good life living in her Amish community until one misunderstanding leads to a secret. With the secret Hannah carries a burden that threatens to destroy everything. Sad and deeply emotional.½
