Alexander Smalls is the creator of southern revival cooking and the owner of Cafe Beulah, which has received rave reviews in the New York Times, Gourmet, and New York magazine. He recently opened a SoHo restaurant, Sweet Ophelia. A classically trained baritone, he is a graduate of the Curtis afficher plus Institute of Music in Philadelphia. After touring the United States and Europe and subsequently studying opera and culinary arts in Italy and France, Smalls returned to New York and began Small Miracle, a catering business. The success of that venture led to his highly celebrated Cafe Beulah, which the Zagat restaurant survey calls "a winning, down-home, good food, great idea place." afficher moins
