First of all, I have to say that lumbersnack is now my favorite word. That had me cackling and it was on page one! So I knew from the start that this was going to be a hilarious reas. Cheri was a character that was right up my alley. She was witty and sarcastic and didn’t take any crap. Especially not from Luke. And Luke was a grumpy lumbersnack who was also a terrible tipper.

This was one of the most fun romances I have ever read. I don’t know that I’ve laughed out loud so many times reading a book before. But more than the comedy and even more than the romance, there was so much heart at the root of this novel. Luke and Cheri had so much going on under the surface and things they needed to face.

I’m a sucker for so many tropes. And fake relationships are definitely one of my favorites. And this one played it out incredibly! The chemistry between Luke and Cheri was ridiculously hot and I knew they weren’t going to be able to resist one another for long. Especially since Luke had a bit of a crush on Cheri before they even started their whole charade. And by “a bit” I mean that he was half in love with her before they even decided to embark on their fake romance adventure.

But it definitely wasn’t all sunshine, roses, and laughs. Because Luke had a lot of things to learn before he was ready to give his heart to Cheri. One of them being that he needed to learn he was worth it and deserved good things. And as for Cheri, she needed to learn that it’s okay to rely on someone and open yourself up to love. All in all this was a fun, and funny, romance that had me hooked from start to finish.
