Interesting case studies of paranoia... the author's admitted drug usage (in the name of "research") and the lack of equal depth in examining the paranoid individuals detracts from what could be a fascinating book. Instead, we're left with a reasonably interesting book. I'm none the worse for reading it, although I do feel the author could have done a better job.

This book is terrifying and intriguing at all times. Whispers is hard to keep down. It has a lot of information about paranoia before the experiences with different patients. This book is as if it is a test for the reader not to get paranoid. The author, Ronald K. Siegel is a doctor in the department of psychiatry and Behavioral Science at UCLA. Siegel is a crazy writer and intelligent writer that wrote his journey through case studies. The ironic part of the book is that readers are so intrigued by the different case studies like a women thinking her teeth whisper to her; and a drug addict for whom the invasion of imaginary bugs is strong enough to drive him mad. Siegel takes the readers in the a paranoia world for as long as you hold the book. Its a mind trick that a intelligent doctor/ skilled writer attempts to do and succeeds tremendously.… (plus d'informations)
