One could glibly comment that this book boils down to "The intellgence was bad, there were no weapons of mass destruction."

This volume is mainly useful as a chronology of Roman operations in Parthia and Armenia up to the demise of the Parthian Empire.

The author otherwise tries too much to draw parallels between Roman operations and American operations in Iraq.
