With the expert help of the Youth Hostel Association, the walks in this book have been planned for both seasoned and new walkers. There are 25 routes in all, which make 15 seven-day walks and 10 weekend routes. They encompass some of Britain's finest walking country from Hadrian's Wall to Dartmoor. The book gives detailed instructions for the day routes from Youth Hostel to Youth Hostel but it is possible to walk many of the day sections independently.
