Light hearted chick lit with bit of a mystery. Okay maybe not mystery, the 'villain' of the story was pretty obvious. Drew and Cassie are hilarious and the pages flew by. The interactions between them were funny and sweet and romantic and had me swooning. They were both so awkward and it was nice to see them connect with each other. I'll be interested to pick up Max's story.

Overall Opinion:
I wish there was more to say about the read besides calling it cute. The characters Beth and Autry were deem relatable yet their attraction and flirty relationship didn't do much for me. This series was just missing the spark to really enthralled me into the read. Besides that, I would definitely reconsider giving this another go sometime in the future.

Carter surveys water for lawyer Logan's cases to see who is stealing water from their neighbors. Carter has pulled Logan out of his shell but neither sees that their feelings are turning to love. Carter teases. Logan feels jealousy when Carter hints she might go home with a sexy bartender. When her mother is hurt prior to a big case Logan needs Carter's help with, Logan decides to go to Carter's family's ranch to help with her mother so Carter can do the survey he needs. While there feelings come out and it becomes a delicate dance. Will they survive? Will Logan let go of his past to give them a future?

I enjoyed this story. I liked Carter and Logan. I liked that Carter was able to get Logan to talk of his past. It shed a lot of light on why Logan was so reserved. I also liked that Carter opened up about her broken engagement so Logan could understand why Carter was so independent. The two of them were good together. I appreciated her family getting involved in their romance. I look forward to reading the earlier books in the series.

don’t think I will ever get over these fun and carefree romances. In fact I find myself actively searching for them, sometimes I just need a light and easy read that has me feeling lighthearted. I don’t have to worry about emotional twists or a sad heartbreaking story. The Wrong Kind of Compatible absolutely met my expectations and even had Star Wars references! Oh squee my nerdy heart. Cassie was a great character and reminded me of myself and I love how Drew was just as awkward and adorable as I wanted him to be, no mysterious, brooding, emotionally challenged man here. (I am starting to really get tired of those guys…) I love how their sexual tension was immediate but Scott didn’t have it be an instant hook up.

I love how Scott gave Cassie a job that you would not normally see women in (data analyst) and how she made Cassie confident in her work (and Drew being confident in Cassie’s work as well) and that it wasn’t a contention in their relationship. In fact it was Drew’s investigation that was the problem. I do wish Scott explored that investigation a bit more and how the ending sort of wrapped up a bit too quickly for my taste.

Overall this was exactly what I needed to read when I was getting sick and a bit tired of the stress of life.
