Science Fiction Club Deutschland

"When two Germans meet, they shake hands; when three Germans meet, they form a club." Or so an old saying goes. This magazine shows just what sort of clubs they form! SFCD was formed in 1955; they produced this special edition of their flagship magazine for the London World SF Convention in 2014. It contains an overview of SF clubs in Germany, SF awards, some articles in current issues in German SF - including an examination of steampunk and why it had to struggle for a foothold in Germany, and of course some notes on the ubiquitous SF novel series 'Perry Rhodan', of which it is said that German SF is divided into two parts - Perry Rhodan and everything else. Most of this is in dual texts, English and German. The magazine also reprints the 2008 Deutscher-Science-Fiction-Preis short story winner, Frank W. Haubold's 'Homeward Bound', in an English translation.… (plus d'informations)
