- Marie Schütte's work still one of the internationally recognized standard works of the subject. Publications include: Publications: 1912, 1913, 1963 "Old Lace" (Klinkhardt and Biermann in Leipzig), 1929 "Lace from Renaissance to Empire", collection of Helene Vieweg-Brockhaus, 1948 "Old Lace" in Ciba Rundschau Basel, 1927, 1930 "Embroidered Tapestries and Hangings of the middle ages "(Hiersemann in Leipzig), 1963 together with Sigrid Mueller-Christensen," Embroideries "(Wasmuth, Tuebingen). Some other more popular books are: 1935 "Persian tapestries" in 1938, "German tapestries", 1942 "The Grassi picture book", 1950 "Catalogue of the textile collection of fabrics" of Textiles College of Zurich, 1956 "Tablet weavings" in Ciba Rundschau 117 , 1956 Basle.

Book consists mostly of B&W photos of extant pieces from Europe, There is a little bit of text, in general, but also text about each plate. A wealth of images and information
