This is not a standalone story--just a teaser for a follow-on, so I'm giving it one star. It isn't that satisfying on its own. Far too much is left unexplained. It should be possible to create something that succeeds on its own, AND introduces the reader to a new universe he or she will want to read more about, but this author's effort falls short.

This wasn't the greatest work by Sating, but it wasn't horrible. It was a bit slow and I figured things out about half way into the title. I didn't figure out everything. There were still a few twists that were a bit of a surprise and interesting, but it wasn't the strongest story. Although, I see potential, if it were reworked and released. It could even, at some point, make a good film or mini series of some kind.

From the first few pages, I was instantly drawn into this title. I actually read them at the end of another of Sating's books called 12 Deaths of Christmas, and from that I knew I just had to read the rest. So, I bought it and had a blast reading it. I love all the different mentions of locations in Washington State and I have always been interested in titles that have to do with Bigfoot and or cryptozoology. Now I am onto reading the other titles in this series.

Twisted & creepy!!! Just what I was looking to read during the holiday season. There wasn't a boring story in this collection, and it was fun to see that some of these stories were taking place in the northwest. So, I could totally picture how these scenes could play out. I will definitely be reading more by this author in the future and I highly recommend this book to others.
