Critiques

Aimed primarily at young readers, Rick Sammon's 3-D Wings: Fabulous Flying Machines provides a good introductory overview of early airplanes, as seen at the Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome in upstate New York. The book is illustrated with anaglyph 3-D photos and comes with 3-D glasses for stereoscopic viewing. Serendipitously, I came across this book at the Aerodrome's gift shop during a visit there to take my own View-Master stereo photos.

This very basic book briefly discusses various planes and famous pilots from early aviation and is illustrated with anaglyph photographs (red/blue). The book comes with a pair of cardboard anaglyph glasses that are styled to look like aviator goggles, attached to the front cover page
