A strong female cop and a handsome P.I.. It doesn't take much to realize they are going to come together. Then we get caught up in their hunt for a serial killer. 70%. Suspense 30% sex ( the extra steamy kind) and a budding romance woven all throughout.

This is a mature and complex love story much like real life with ups downs and in-betweens. I loved that so much life went on around the two main characters, just because they are both caught up with their hormones and a cold case does not stop the world from revolving and this added more realism to the story. Ironically most women would love to start a relationship with a family-oriented man and although to me he’s practically perfect I completely understand Tess’s stance. In fact I admire her staunch belief in her work ethic and her career goals. Scott is a near perfect hero and I think I fell a little in love with him myself. He has a cocky side that is nicely balanced with his responsible nature and I just knew that Tess didn’t stand a chance. The mystery and action are solid and all of the characters well-developed. My favorite character in the whole story is young Danny. I’d love to see Carrie get her own story, in fact I’d like to see all of Scott’s siblings get their very own adventure. I highly recommend this well-written romantic suspense, I know it’s one I will definitely reread.

Love Me If You Can is a great combination of romance and murder mystery. Both romance lovers and mystery lovers will find what the want in Love Me If You Can

I found Tess to be a determined character. She is an ambitious career cop, and is determined to make Captain by forty. I enjoyed how goal oriented Tess was, but she didn't think relationship and children fit into her life. At the beginning I wished that she could combined both her job, and some romance into her life. Life is boring with out romance is my belief.

But by far Scott was my favorite character. I loved that he was willing to give up law school to raise his sister, and step siblings when his father and stepmother was killed in an accident. Instead of going to law school he took over his father's private investigation business. I also loved that he wanted the whole picket fence dream, so much for that just being a women's dream.

I loved that throughout Love Me If You Can we are able to see things from the serial killers perspective. I found it to be very interesting to read about the serial killer's planning and reminiscing.

Overall Love Me If You Can is a fast paced read that will keep your attention until the last page. It is the perfect book for both romance and mystery lovers.
