A gift from our son, who heard author Peggy Rowe on a podcast interview, VACUUMING IN THE NUDE is simply a delightful read. My wife read it first, and kept interrupting my own reading with her giggles and guffaws, and then by insisting on reading passages aloud. They made me laugh too. Then I read it. Same results. Lots of laughs. Peggy Rowe is a very funny lady, and a good writer. She is a keen observer of people, and just about everything else too. She writes about how she has always been a writer, but wasn't exactly successful at it. But she kept at it, writing about her family and friends, about her love of horses and more. This is her third book. Her first two were both bestsellers, and I think this one is too. Oh, and she was eighty when her first book, ABOUT MY MOTHER, was published. Two years later it was ABOUT YOUR FATHER. And she's 84 now, or maybe 85. It was a long wait, but she's finally famous. She deserves it. I'm reminded of Erma Bombeck. Rowe is at least that funny, maybe more. She should have been famous years ago. Congratulations, Peggy. You've arrived! Very highly recommended.

If you're a fan of David Sedaris or Laurie Notaro, then this is the book for you. Hilariously heartwarming mini-essays/stories about our gloriously flawed humanity. Peggy Rowe published her first book at the AGE OF EIGHTY! This is her 3rd book (she's now 84), and I hope not her last. I laughed in some places so hard I almost wet my pants. What a FABULOUS book to end the year with! Keep writing, Peggy! I want more! 😁

My wife bought this (signed!) book for my mom for Christmas. As a huge Mike Rowe fan, I felt it was my responsibility to read it...

It's cute with some fun stories although at 52, I'm glad there are quite of few of those stories I can't yet relate to considering Mrs. Rowe (and her husband John) is in her mid-80s.

Still, there were several times I chuckled out loud so it was well worth the read.
