I am reviewing the contemporary office romance, You Never Could Be, by Amy Romine. Here are my thoughts.

^^ When Sara Rozek's boss, Will Carlisle, reveals his impending departure from her department, he decides it's now or never to tell her how he feels about her, taking their relationship to a whole new level.

^^ Not long after Sara overhears rumours flying around about Will and she is forced to come to terms with the fact that he's not the man she thought he was. How they deal with it could make or break their relationship. Shame, as it's only just
begun!

^^ This is a short 45 page read in which there is a lot of hot sex, between a girl and her boss who've just declared their love for each other, after they've both been admiring each other from afar.

^^ As you can imagine it's rather steamy as the characters have a lot of catching up to do, and it shows really well during the hot scenes.

Overall: It's a fast read, and not just because it's short. I read it fast and furiously eager to discover how their relationship would end and whether this awful situation they found themselves in, could ever be resolved. I mean, after several obstacles have been thrown into their path I knew it wasn't going to be easy. This is one quick, hot story!

I was provided a copy by the author in exchange for an honest review.

At the end of this story I imagined a camera pulling back and seeing an image very much like this. It's a cosy, feel-good winter warmer, that's bound to warm the cockles of your heart.

I'm reviewing A Snowflake's Chance in Hell, by Amy Romine. My rating is 4.5 stars. Here are my thoughts:

^^ This is a romantic, Christmas themed story about one woman's search for her long lost
brother and the people who enter her life along the way.

^^ When Quinn Lawson finally gets a lead that could bring her closer to finding her brother, Peter, of whom she was separated from when their parents died, her search takes her to a military base where she first meets Gunnery Sergeant Kevin McCaluson.

^^ Both Quinn and Kevin have their owns issues to contend with, so their first meeting is a little strained; communications are misinterpreted, emotions run riot, and things simply don't go as planned. In short, their first impressions of each other are not good. It's not love at first sight, that's for sure.

^^ Over time they begin to understand each other more and Kevin offers to help Quinn with her search for her brother, so they embark on a long road trip together, and soon their friendship develops a deeper bond and their feelings for each other strengthen. It's an emotional ride, full of truths and heartfelt stories, enveloping the tr
ue spirit of Christmas in one short read.

Overall: This is a charming, fairly quick, cosy Christmas romance, spiced up by a couple of burning hot scenes. And no, I don't mean because I've spent too long reading that I've burnt the dinner again! (Although, in truth that has happened many times!) A heartwarming romance that's bound to warm the cockles of your heart on a cold, winter's eve.

I received this book from the author for an honest review.

A Snowflake's Chance in Hell was is a holiday themed romance. Quinn is looking for her long lost brother and has received a tip that he may have been or is in the military. She makes a trip to try to find some info on this and meets Gunnery Sergeant Kevin McCaluson. There seems to be some tension from the outset as Quinn is feeling vulnerable and on the defensive, and Kevin is going through some personal issues with contemplating a promotion or whether he wants to continue in the military... what did he want for the rest of his life. He volunteers to help her in her search, and they develop an affection for each other.
The story itself was ok, but it seemed a bit rushed. No details are really given at the end as to where her brother had been all these years and how he was ultimately found.
I received this book in exchange for an honest review. Thank you.

Deliciously erotic

When her boss gets word he's being transferred, Sara indulges his desires, and her own. But rumors tell of a woman in every port. Are the rumors true? Red hot lust fuels this romance.
