I almost didn't finish this book. I found it difficult to get into at the beginning. However, I'm very pleased to have continued. I ended up really liking it. The style is easy to read, has a lot of humour. The main character, although a grumpy senior with attitude problems, grows on you. Joe is the hero you love to hate. The surrounding characters are well-rounded, natural everyday people. Although the title refers to a seniors' club, these are seniors who really know how to enjoy life and are far from the idea of stuffy old fuddy-duddies. I'm reading my way through the series with pleasure. I'm up to N°5 and have 4 more to go. I hope David W Robinson goes on writing about Joe Murray and the Sanford Third Age Club for a long time.… (plus d'informations)
