Ella Hebden has gone missing, is this a kidnapping or a murder. This will be the first case for the new arrival D.I. Olivia Austin, and her partner D.I. Dean Lawrence.
An entertaining story, a good start to the series

Oh Ally! She's still her adorable and insecure self *laughs* One of the thinks are enjoyed the most is the way her friendship with Fran and Lewis is growing. The characters are all likeable and the mystery is entertaining and fun.

Now, I'll just to sit and wait for the next instalment in this lovely series

Another delightful cosy mystery, with lovely characters and the great writing that is usual in Nic Roberts' books.

One remarkable thing, for those who haven't read other books from this author, is the clean, innocent feeling that come from all the relationships. And, aside from the murder investigation, one of the main themes here is reconnecting with childhood friendships, which I really enjoyed.

A great book.

This is a prequel.

Ally and Lizzie have stopped over to the bakery to help Tim with his dessert event, when a skeleton is discovered in the backyard under the flagstones. Ally needs to help Tim, he would never murder someone.

This prequel seems to be written to explain Ally’s departure from London and her arrival in Westford to run a B & B. Hopefully, the first book in the series will not be so lightweight and obvious.
