S. A. Richards

The book's editor Richards chose to place "The Life of George Borrow" at the front rather than the back as is usual in the series. He thought it necessary to know the man before reading his work. I found that helpful. The stories are loosely autobiographical, in the spirit of 'never let the truth get in the way of a good story'. Borrow's style is that is so joyful that I loved dipping into the stories and mulling over them for some tome afterwards. I will read this book again.
