Born natural enemies August and Sheridan have always been told to stay far away from each other but one night they run into each other and August gets it in his head that he will get his revenge for his family by taking what has always been forbidden. Sheridan knows August is up to no good but her attraction to him is too string for her to pull away. They both have family secrets and end up relying on each other to work through them and end up falling hard. I loved August even if he came off as a jerk he did have a heart of gold deep down and was willing to help Sheridan any way he possibly could. Sheridan was the perfect hard-working daughter but when she finally rebelled against her family she fell for August and wasn’t willing to let him go. This was a great read of enemies to lovers full of secrets, hatred, steam, and young love. I really enjoyed it!!!… (plus d'informations)

Slade and Campbell have had their whole lives planned out for them and neither one has enjoyed what their future holds which is an arranged marriage to each other. Slade is this no nonsense, hard worker that wants to take over his father’s company but that comes with a lot of stipulations and one being marrying Campbell. Campbell may come from money but she is so laid back and everyone who ever meets her loves her sweet demeanor. These two could not be more opposite but over the years they know there isn’t much they can do about the marriage arrangement so they’ve gone alone with it while still giving each other a hard time. For years Campbell and Slade send each other hate mail constantly bantering back and forth how much they can’t stand the other and how much they are hating the idea of marrying each other. This book was one full of fun banter between the characters and my heart hurt for Slade because his circumstances with his mom has made him even colder than what he started, but Campbell was such a sunshine to his grumpy that helped turn him around. I loved how long they went talking about hating each other when deep down when they finally let their guards down they saw they had so much more in common and there was a chemistry brewing.… (plus d'informations)

What happens when two coworkers competing against each other for a promotion end up anonymously spending a lot of time on a dating app getting to know each other and falling for the other? In this story Tenley and Brooks are both hardworking but both are up for a promotion in their law firm. Tenley is tenacious when it comes to work,never taking it easy and doing everything by the books while Brooks is laid back and everyone instantly loves him. Complete opposites they butt heads every day but when they are forced to work together things start to change. The more time they spend on the dating app the more thing they both start to notice is similar to that coworker who annoys them and when attraction can’t be fought any more will they implode or be able to set aside their differences to explore more? I loved that no matter how much they thought the other was completely their opposite them ore we notice how much they are just alike. Both are incredibly smart and have chemistry that is off the charts but when things get too intense will they let their past define where they go from here?… (plus d'informations)

Dorian is definitely the definition of "grumpy". Briar really did have to work at it to slowly crack Dorian's shell and get him to open up and crack a smile. The chemistry between Dorian and Briar was mostly in the past. Because Briar was "engaged" to Dorian's brother and she hurt him, he went back to brushing her off. So, their interactions were mostly to not be in each other's way. There was not a log of angst build up between them for a long while.

The romance was a slow burn one. Yet, it is worth it as these two are meant for one another. The steamy scenes come towards the last third of the book. While Dorian may be grumpy, his father, Redmond is a delight.

I found this book to be a quick read. There is nothing "fake" about my like of this book.… (plus d'informations)
