I did enjoy this book. I loved all the NZ stuff too (the map, glossary, Maori translations, etc.). Nice addition. I enjoyed seeing the conflict resolve.

I have to say though, something that has been thrust on me, over and over, in my own attempt at writing has been the point of view (POV). Everyone keeps telling me that you can only be in one head at a time. Like Pamela, I jumped around with this, but I thought, rather smoothly; even more smoothly than Pamela. But I see, now, what people were trying to tell me. In this story, sometimes even within one paragraph, we were privy to what was in multiple people's heads. It is rather confusing.

What gets me is that this is Covenant publishing. Possibly, this was back when they were starting out?

I started reading this and got bored, so quit. Actually, I didn't feel like going through main character's trials with her. I might try again later. My own fault, not the author's.
