- Douglas Raybeck, Ph.D. is Professor Emeritus in the Department of Anthropology at Hamilton College. His research addresses topics ranging from nonverbal communication and psycholinguistics to physiological correlates of behavioral dispositions. He is familiar with future studies and has written a book on the topic, Looking Down the Road: A Systems Approach to Future Studies. He studies Malaysian culture and has published Mad Dogs, Englishmen, and the Errant Anthropologist, a book summarizing his fieldwork in Kelantan, Malaysia. Dr. Raybeck is co-editor of Deviance: Anthropological Perspectives and Improving College Education of Veterans, as well as co-author of Improving Student Memory and Improving Memory and Study Skills: Advances in Theory and Practice. He has been a Fellow at the National Institutes of Health and is past President of the Society for Cross-Cultural Research. [from page 316 of Extraterrestrial Altruism, published in 2014]
