Heart of Stone is the 6th book in the Lone Star Rangers series by K.L. Ramsey. This book was a fast pace short read about an instant attraction between two people who let it grow to see where it took them. You don't even have to read any of the other books in the series to read this one.
Stone is a reformed bad boy who once thought gang life was where his future was until he hesitated during his first kill and got caught by the police. He knew if he didn't take the deal offered and go into witness protection then he would be killed in jail. He grew up to turn his life around and became a Texas Ranger. In an earlier book in the series, you learn that he has 2 half sisters that he knew nothing about so he's still getting used to that and adjusting. While on duty trying to talk a kid down he gets injured. Jolene is appointed his physical therapist and when she moves in temporarily that is when their attraction soars. She agrees to have friends-with-benefits while she's living with him and helping him to get better.
I gave this book a 2-star rating and a 2-spicy rating because it didn't draw me in or hold my attention at all. I think maybe that is because of how short it was. This was a beautiful story that could have had so much more depth added to it. The book was over before it even started for me and that was disappointing. If you are someone that like's short reads then this one would be for you. I hate it wasn't one for me because I like K.L. Ramsey's books so much.… (plus d'informations)

Mistletoe & Mayhem is the 9th book in K.L. Ramsey's Royal Bastards MC: Huntsville, AL series. I'm conflicted about how I feel about this book. On one hand, I enjoyed it, and the "honey" at the end of almost every sentence as I've read before was kept to a minimum this time. On the other hand, I feel like I've read this book before just with different characters.
This book is about Mayhem who's an FBI agent who faked his death with his family to protect them until his enemies found his daughter Dizzy and he had to save her revealing he was alive. And Mayhem's partner Mavin. Mayhem and his task force had been investigating a group of highly trained assassins called The Ghosts. They kidnapped Mavin to use her as bait to get Mayhem and when he found out he went crazy trying to find her. After Mayhem and his brothers rescued her he knew they would have to go into hiding until the mole in the club was found. While being secluded Mayhem and Mavin both had to deal with being in love with each other and what that meant for them and their careers. It turned out they weren't just dealing with a group of ghosts but an actual ghost they don't know if they can trust or not.
I gave this book a 3.5-star rating and a 3-spicy rating. This book was a short fast burning Christmas romance with a down-home feel like I've come to expect from K.L. Ramsey. I just wish it didn't feel like I've read it before. We met new characters in this book that I hope will get their own books in the Royal Bastards MC series and got to catch up with some old characters we've met in previous books. This can be read as a standalone and is a great choice for anyone looking for a short Christmas romance to read.… (plus d'informations)

Corbin and Avalon met through their friends. He's the consummate playboy, Dom not interested in long term relationships and she's the spunky, bratty sub, successful in her own right.

Avalon's father is a nasty piece of work, handing her legal paperwork advising her she has until her thirtieth birthday to marry to keep her grandfather's inheritance or it all reverts to him. I know he's the executor of the will but it seemed very odd that he was in charge of informing her of this little clause, legally she should have been notified at the reading of the will by the attorneys.

After a dare has them playing in a BDSM club, he finds he wants more but she's heading off to Paris for work. I enjoyed watching the playboy squirm a bit until he decided to go after her and claim her as his own, even before he found out she needed to marry.

Overall an enjoyable romantic, BDSM read. with a few minor editing problems. Most of the play between the two revolved around spanking and D/s. I liked that they both had strengths and their relationship grew from their friendship. After their first kinky night they quickly move to falling in love and Corbin helping Avalon with her inheritance and dealing with a father no on deserves.

A very likeable, fantasy romance, BDSM read. Very hallmark romance with a BDSM twist.
Zara's a virgin and on a dare goes to a BDSM club determined to do the deed.

Aiden is a rich, divorced Dom with two kids. He's at a BDSM club to get back into things after his divorce, when he sees Zara he has to have her. Throw convention, pre-play talks out the window. They head to his private play room where they set things on fire until he get's the big surprise and has a freak out.

They go their separate ways, both mooning over the other until with a little bit of romance writer magic they find each other when his assistant hires Zara as his children's nanny while he's out of town.

They take a minute to try to hide their relationship but that just isn't going to happen. While there's some dramatic moments with the ex-wife, this is quick, romantic read, with likeable characters, that enjoy their kink and cute kids that are scene stealers.
