sweet and enjoyable!

This was a cute, sweet romance despite the violence. I thought this was an interesting take on the mobster with a heart of gold story. I couldn't put it down!

This books wraps the story up nicely, but I felt it dragged in parts. I didn't feel this way about the other books. Also, and i think this was something wrong on Amazon's part, my copy had TONS of edits. Like, words were strikethrough and stuff like that. It made for an annoying read; but again, I don't think that was the authors fault. I haven't had something like that happen before with any book!

I have really enjoyed this series! Since the kids are now older, this book was a bit darker (more violence). I really liked getting to see more of Alessandra! She has always been an interesting character to me so finally seeing her get her happy ending was nice. I am glad for Troy as well. I never liked Troy and Megan together but I am glad he finally got his happily ever after as well. The book is a fairly quick read too and while you could read it without having read the other books, I wouldn't. This is a great series that really has grown as the characters have. Book one starts when they are still in HS so the mob connection is really their parents. By this book, the boys are thoroughly immersed in the Mob world so its very interesting to see the difference.

I have enjoyed Amy's Mob books and this was no exception. Poor Anya is trapped in a cult and her struggle is so believable. She feels that she can't leave and even when she tries, she can't survive on her own. Its really tragic and sadly how many people in cult environments feel (especially when they are born in the cult!). However, I felt the book was rushed. I would have liked to have things slowed down, explored more, etc. Instead, Anya jumps into bed with Carlo and then they are in love. It was so rushed and felt really uncomfortable for me. My full review will be on the blog on 1/26/16 The Book Disciple… (plus d'informations)
