Price (read 29 May 2009) This biography by a former law clerk to Judge Arnold is hagiographical but full of interest. He was born Mar 26, 1936, and died Sep 23, 2004. His life was a most interesting one, and he came close to being on the U.S. Supreme Court--only his uncertain health stopped Bill Clinton from appointing him, Not all of his positions do I agree with, but he was a hard-working and extremely able jurist. He had a big role in the Little Rock desegregation case which went on for many years after 1957, and had many other big cases on the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals.
