Funny (but in a sad way at times...) historical anecdotes that show how easily we can screw up things without even meaning too sometimes. Not really a history book, since there's not really any in-depth analysis here, mostly just entertaining stories that do make you think at times.

In this hilarious and topical book, Phillips addresses what we expect is the truth but really recasts everything in a different light. For effect, he does sensationalize some facts - with a great deal of humour - and in doing so shows how we manufacture stories, shape the world to suit our view points and create shrouds around information. It's fascinating to see how loops are created, hoaxes perpetuated and lack of knowledge filled with garbage. Humans really are odd creatures with wildly vivid imaginations.… (plus d'informations)
