I cannot review this, as I was unable to get into it and did not read much.

Riddles Island is an inventive subjective novel. It's a trip into the year 2111 how some people survive after the collapse of government, international business and other institutions. They forge a life on a rustic island with minimal technology. You can adapt to the language. This book makes you think about the future of the planet, as well as human sexuality and reproduction. Gender is fluid and not important when choosing friends and lovers.
Energy use, economic inequality, genetic engineering, drug use, farming, food and transportation provide the tapestry on which the characters interact.
Dylan and Rory -- who are non-binary like everyone else on Riddles Island -- face life-changing decisions and adventures.
Be ready to adapt to Newspeak [borrowed from "1984"], especially some simple to learn non-binary pronouns used throughout the book. Most of the main characters are post-gender in the world where labels and binary sexual identities are things of the past in 2111.
